66 Books: One Story was originally published 10 years ago and was followed up in 2019 by 30 Prophecies: One Story. In our humble opinion as booksellers, they never really gained the traction they deserved. Now that 66 Books has been reprinted in the same attractive style as 30 Prophecies we hope people will take more notice!
66 Books goes through each of the books of the Bible giving an introduction to the book, an overview of key quotations, a number of learning applications and questions, and lastly a section entitled ‘Salvation Thread’. This section shows where the Bible book fits into the overall plan of Salvation that runs through the whole Bible and really helps tie the Bible books together. There is such a wealth of information covered that 66 Books would be an excellent resource for use with a wide age range of children. Those who do not like the illustrative style should note that there are actually few illustrations, mostly just on each title page, and none of Jesus. The variety of Bible versions might also be felt to be a barrier, but this is easily remedied by using your own chosen version alongside the book. The book is a large format hardback (approximately A4 size).
In a similar style, 30 Prophecies hones in further on specific prophecies made about the coming of Jesus. With a clear overall timeline, each prophecy is placed with a date and author, an explanation of the prophecy and how this would have been received in the time and place it was given. We are then shown how the prophecy was fulfilled and how this fits into the overall Scarlet Thread of salvation that runs through the Bible. In a similar way to 66 Books, this is a tremendously helpful resource despite possible misgivings about illustrations, Bible versions and some applications.
To re-introduce 66 Books in the new format we are offering it at a big discount! It will normally be retailing at £19.99, but for a short time we are able to sell it at £11.99. We have also reduced 30 Prophecies to match that price! Click here to order
