Over 13 years, 14 books, 40 readers, more than 560 blog posts and nearly 800 comments, our online ladies reading club has studied the writings of John Owen, Thomas Watson, Martin Luther, J C Ryle and many more. But I have now decided not to start a new book. Partly, this is because I recognise that technology has moved on and other online book clubs are making use of podcasts and video calls to connect people, and really that is not my scene! Also, excitingly, some of our Reading Together members have been inspired to set up their own bookclubs in their local areas – I’m really pleased about this as discussing books together (in person) is so beneficial.
So thank you to all the Reading Together members, for joining me on the reading journey and for embracing the challenge to read books we wouldn’t normally pick up. I hope you will continue to enjoy reading and discussing books of all types. If you would like to start up your own bookclub, I would love to support your endeavours by offering you discounted rates on bulk orders. Just get in touch.
Also, members of Reading Together will still be able to access the posts and comments here… Reading Together.
If you keep in touch via this blog, or our social media accounts, you will continue to see plenty of books being read and reviewed – always feel free to join the conversation!
