In this short address, given at a meeting of the Sovereign Grace Union in March 2014, Graham Miller (Pastor at Bethesda Chapel, Guersey) gives an outline of Gadsby’s life and examines his character and the features of his ministry. Quoting extensively from Gadsby’s own hymns and other writings, the address will act as an introduction to a man who has been often misunderstood, and occasionally unjustly maligned; but who was remarkably used of God during his life and who, despite having died 170 years ago, remains a blessing to the church today through his hymns and writings.
