Rosaria Butterfield has followed up her earlier books with this plea for real sacrificial hospitality to be a greater feature of Christian living today. Such hospitality sees our homes as not our own, but as God’s tools for the furtherance of his kingdom as we welcome those who look, think, believe, and act differently from us into our everyday, sometimes messy lives – helping them see what true Christian faith really looks like. She herself was greatly impacted spiritually by such experience of hospitality from a humble Christian couple while living as a feminist, atheist and lesbian. Now a pastor’s wife, she passionately argues for something which looks radically different from what is the norm today in the Western world, both within the church family and outside of it.
