This little booklet contains two pamphlets by J K Popham (1847 – 1937), published towards the end of his life, which together form the substance of six sermons preached at ‘Galeed’ Chapel Brighton, on the words ‘Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus’ (2 Tim 1:13). In many ways they are the valediction of a pastor to his people and contain the essence of Mr Popham’s ministry throughout his long pastorate, of over 50 years, at ‘Galeed’ Chapel. The sermons briefly state the cardinal doctrines of Scripture, and as such they are living bread to the soul.
