William Cooper (1694-1743) was a graduate of Harvard. He was known as a staunch calvinist. This book is based on four sermons preached in Boston (USA), explaining and vindicating Predestination. Whitefield referred to it in his famous letter to John Wesley on ‘Free Grace’. This edition has been reset in 1993 from the 2nd edition of 1804.
