This second volume completes Stephen Pickles extensive research into the life and testimony of Benjamin Beddome, a most significant, yet much neglected minister, among the Particular Baptists in the eighteenth century. The doctrinal changes advanced by Andrew Fuller in the second edition of the ‘The Gospel Worthy of All Acceptation’ and other works are thoroughly examined and compared with Beddome’s teachings and those of ministers associated with him. The conclusions arrived at are controversial but pertinent. What we find here is worthy of serious consideration as Beddome’s stance as an old school Calvinist is vindicated.
