William Mason (1719-1791) was a great friend of William Romaine, and author of ‘A Spiritual Treasury for the Children of God’ – his well known daily meditations. This little book still has a devotional character, but is full of sound doctrine with a practical design: exhorting to the ‘putting on of the Lord Jesus Christ’ in every aspect of the believer’s life. It is of small size to allow it to be carried around, to be dipped into to encourage fellowship with God. But it is also deep and rich, though not overly lengthy.
