Huntington’s defence against the charge that he did not set forth the Law of God as the rule of life to the believer. He regards it as fulfilled in Christ for them, but still applying in a condemning way to the unbeliever. He maintains ‘the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart’ – a fruit of grace, not law.
