William Gadsby (1773-1844) was pastor of Rochdale Road Particular Baptist Chapel in Manchester, and a powerful preacher in the north of England. He founded the ‘Gospel Standard’ magazine, which is still continuing. He described his theme as ‘an everlasting gospel, proceeding from everlasting love, and ending in everlasting glory.’ This is a reprint of the rarer second volume of the two volume edition of his complete Works, and contains his catechism, miscellaneous pieces, and sermons.
