John Grace (1800-1893) was a minister of the gospel at Brighton for 29 years, preceding J K Popham. He was a dear friend of J C Philpot, and occasionally preached in Philpot’s pulpit. This book contains a review of his eventful life, his call by grace and to the work of the ministry, and how the Lord blessed his labours with remarkable success, and the account of his peaceful end. There are numerous selections from his sermons, diary and letters, and brief notices of his companions in the faith, such as John Vinall and John Warburton.
