A Scottish Highland lady and her circle. Harriet MacDonald was a great christian encourager. She was godly, hospitable, and supported many by her gracious letters. Nourished spiritually under the ministry of Dr John Kennedy in 19th century Dingwall, she passed on the lessons of a living ministry, and practically counselled a variety of friends, including some overseas. The original substance of this book was first published in 1941 by her minister Donald A Macfarlane, but has here been enlarged with some previously unpublished letters, and some short biographies of her correspondents.
