Commenced in 1915, the Annual Conference of the Sovereign Grace Union was once the central rallying point of ministers and men who preached the distinguishing doctrines of sovereign grace in the United Kingdom. The chief event of each conference was the conference sermon, preached by one of the leading ministers of the day. During the first 25 years of the conference these sermons were preached on six occasions by Mr J K Popham (1847-1937), the pastor at Galeed Chapel Brighton, and editor of The Gospel Standard Magazine. This book gathers together for the first time Mr Pophams’ six conference sermons. The sermons handle the foundation truths of our most holy faith. They are rich in both doctrine and experience. They have also been Mr Popham’s rarest publications, having not been reprinted since they first appeared in the pages ot he published conference reports.
