Faithfulness under Fire – The story of Guido de Bres

A true story of faith and perseverance from the time of the Reformation in Europe. Guido de Bres was converted from Roman Catholicism and forced to flee persecution to England when Edward VI was on the throne. Then when Mary Tudor came to power he had to return to the continent and find a safe haven in Geneva. He benefited from the ministry of John Calvin before returning to his native Belgium and authoring the famous Belgic Confession. Eventually his enemies caught up with him and he had to seal his testimony with his life. This is well written, fully and artistically illustrated, and has a very good final page aimed at parents.
