James Haldane (1768-1851) is the lesser known brother of Robert Haldane. A Scottish baptist, he ministered at The Tabernacle chapel in Edinburgh for over 50 years. He witnessed the advance of the error of Universal Atonement within the national church and stood resolutely for the doctrine of Particular Redemption. An able defence.
