This is important because much confusion has resulted down the years with such consequences as Dispensational teaching, the Rapture etc. The church is only universal in heaven, the churches are only local upon earth. The Kingdom is that specific era from Pentecost onwards distinguished by the personal activity of the Holy Spirit upon earth in his New Covenant people. Thus Philip Mauro rejects the idea of a special place for the Jews in God’s plan, but emphasises the privileges of the ‘Israel of God’. The author was a member of the Supreme Court in the US in the first half of the C20th, and argues his case with notable precision. The remaining stock is in shelf worn condition.
