Adolph Saphir (1831-1891) was a converted Jew, a fruit of the Church of Scotland's Mission to the large Jewish population in Budapest in the 1840s. He eventually became a great preacher in England, of course very well versed in Hebrew, but like the Apostle Paul, determined to preach nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified. This full biography also contains some of his pithy sayings, and 3 sermons.
